Junction Crime Comparison: 2020 vs 2019

Please see below comparison of occurrences happening on Commercial premises between 2019 and 2020 within the Junction BIA.

Looking at the Major Crime Indicators Category, Break & Enter had the greatest percent increase (83.3%) and assaults had the greatest percent decrease (-50.0%).   We really need to continue working with our business owners and providing as much crime prevention tips, information, support as possible.  Let’s make 2021 a great year.  A lot can potentially be prevented with simple implementations such as:  security cameras, monitored alarms, leaving empty cash drawers by the front door, removing valuable items from the front windows and much more.
