January 2021: Arcana Salon

Arcana Salon

384 Keele St, Toronto, ON M6P 2K8

(416) 551-8855

Arcana first opened its doors in 2016 just off of Dundas St. W on Keele St. The stylish neon sign and millennial pink chairs speak to the on-trend brand of Arcana as a salon. In the past four years, they have fostered a comfortable and inviting space for members of the community, and have continued to turn out unique looks that draw all sorts of clientele.

Nicole, Thea, and Dean, all previously coworkers, knew that opening Arcana was an opportunity to build a space that represents who they are as stylists and as people. With a pre-established base of clientele in the area, the three knew that the Junction would welcome them warmly. Since then, they’ve continued to flourish, onboarding a number of new stylists and carrying a variety of high-quality hair products.

Due to all the support Arcana has felt, the pandemic has been the most difficult time that the salon has had to face thus far. Despite this, Nicole’s advice is to roll with the punches and remember that typically negatives are followed with positives. The most important lessons that Nicole has applied to Arcana have come from hard times and mistakes.

While Arcana is not currently open as part of Toronto’s lockdown plan, they have continued to offer a variety of services. Curbside pickup is available for all of those who are missing their salon-grade blowout or just need basic washing necessities. By curbside pickup, custom colour kits are available. The stylists are also active on the salon’s Instagram page (@arcanasalon) giving updates, and tips on how to safely trim your fringe from home (something I’m sure many of us have struggled with through quarantine). Get in touch with Nicole and her team of talented stylists to satisfy all your hair-related issues from home.
