Window Wonderland Transforms The Junction into a FREE Outdoor AR Art Gallery

From November 27, 2026 to January 31, 2027, discover Toronto’s award-winning winter exhibition featuring original augmented reality public art in storefront windows and wall murals throughout the Junction.

Now in its 7th annual season, Window Wonderland has become one of Toronto’s most anticipated winter traditions, transforming Dundas Street West into a magical open-air art walk during the city’s coldest months.

Created by The Junction BIA in partnership with Artivive, this free, self-guided outdoor exhibition transforms participating storefronts into immersive public art experiences that can be explored day or night.

The 2026/27 exhibition will feature 32 AR art installations across The Junction: 20 new storefront window installations and 12 year-round AR wall murals.

Visitors can download the free @Artivive app and scan the windows and murals to watch each artist’s creation come to life through augmented reality.  #BringArtToLife

The 2026/27 exhibition will feature original work by local and international artists, bringing together mural art, animation, sound, movement, and digital storytelling in the public realm.

Building on the momentum of the 2025–26 season, which welcomed approximately 50,000 visitors, generated more than 60 million media impressions, and received strong public support for the exhibition to return, Window Wonderland 2026/27 will continue to position the Junction as a leading destination for innovative winter culture in Toronto.

This year’s theme, Movement + Glimmers, invites artists to explore motion, hope, connection, and fleeting moments of light. Movement reflects how we travel through the neighbourhood and care for our physical well-being in winter. Glimmers are small moments of joy, calm, safety, and belonging—the unexpected spark of colour, animation, humour, memory, or connection that can brighten a cold day or dark evening.

The exhibition is free, family-friendly, and designed to animate the streetscape while encouraging visitors to walk, explore, shop local, and experience the Junction throughout the winter season.

Window Wonderland has earned multiple awards recognizing its contribution to public art, community engagement, streetscape animation, and main street revitalization, including honours from the Ontario BIA Association, the International Downtown Association, and TABIA.

In addition to the seasonal storefront exhibition, visitors can experience augmented-reality wall murals year-round in the Junction. These permanent public artworks extend the Window Wonderland experience beyond winter and help make the neighbourhood a destination for art, innovation, and discovery in every season.

We are grateful to our sponsors and funders for helping bring this free public art experience to life: MEDS Junction PharmacyAT the Dentist, and Bergmanis Preyra LLP, and the City of Toronto through the 2026 Cultural Festivals Funding Program.
