2026 AGM & Board Election

Wednesday, November 18, 2026 | Virtual Meeting | 9:30–11:00 AM

The Junction BIA’s 2026 Annual General Meeting and Board Election will take place virtually on Wednesday, November 18. In addition to regular AGM business, eligible BIA members will elect nominees to the 2027–2030 Board of Management.

This page will be updated as nomination, nominee, registration and AGM materials become available.

Interested in Joining the Board?

Eligible BIA members or representatives may submit a nomination form to be considered for election to the 2027-2030 Board of Management.

To qualify, you must:

1. Be a commercial or industrial property owner or business tenant within the Junction BIA boundary, or an authorized representative of such a business.

2. Be at least 18 years old.

3. Not be a spouse, parent, or child of a current City Councillor or employee of the City of Toronto or any of its agencies.

Eligible 2027–2030 Board Nominees will be featured below under ‘2027-2030 Board Nominees’ for review before the November 18 AGM. If there are more candidates than availible board positions,  an election will be held and the candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to the available positions. If the number of candidates is equal to or less than the number of available positions, the candidates may be appointed to the available Board positions without a vote, subject to the election procedures adopted for the AGM.

Please note, The Junction BIA Board of Management election may fill either seven or eight member-director positions, subject to the October 21 Board recommendation and November 18 membership approval. The Junction currently has an authorized Board complement of eight directors total — seven member directors plus one Ward 4 Councillor.

AGM Registration & Voting

All members of the BIA and general public are welcome to attend the AGM. Voting members must join the meeting through the desktop or mobile Zoom app to vote. Voting is not available to attendees that call into the meeting. Pre-registration is required to attend.

Only BIA members or their authorized representatives are eligible to vote at an AGM. Non-member nominees and Councillors serving on the Board of Management are not eligible to vote at an AGM unless they are attending as the authorized representative of a BIA member and can provide the required documentation confirming that authority. If you are a voting member, we will contact you for proof of BIA membership (photo ID and a business card, utility bill with business name/tenant name and address, or City of Toronto property tax bill).

A business or property owner may appoint a representative to attend and vote on their behalf, provided documentation is submitted and verified confirming the representative’s authority to act for the member. This may include proof that the individual is an authorized corporate representative or is acting under a valid power of attorney.

The registration deadline for the 2026 AGM is TBC.
