MPP Bhutila Karpoche has asked us to share the following information on the vaccination rollout in our community:
Dear Neighbour,
I’m writing today with a quick update on the status of vaccination roll-out in our community.
There are now opportunities for any adults aged 80 or over to book an appointment to be vaccinated at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Appointments are available as of today.
In addition, patients of University Health Network (UHN) and those who have primary care providers located in the Mid-West Toronto health region, who are aged 80 or over have the opportunity to pre-register for vaccination at the UHN vaccine clinic.
The Ontario government’s vaccine strategy for Phase 2 included a plan to roll out AstraZeneca vaccines to pharmacies on a trial basis. This vaccine has only been recommended for use in adults under the age of 65. Two of those AZ vaccine pilot test sites will be located in Parkdale—High Park and are currently accepting pre-registration for vaccination appointments which will begin on March 13.
Information on eligibility and how to book or pre-register for vaccine appointments at these sites can be found below.
As always, stay safe and please continue to follow all public health measures.
Warmly,
Bhutila Karpoche
MPP, Parkdale—High Park

If no appointment times are available when you try to book, please check back. Additional appointments will be added as we receive more information about our vaccine supply
-
We are providing as many vaccinations as we can for individuals 80 years and older.

Demand for COVID-19 vaccines currently exceeds supply. We are expecting a steady increase in the supply over the coming weeks which will allow us to offer more vaccinations to this priority population. Thank you for your patience.
-
We are asking that people book or pre-register at only one of Toronto’s vaccination sites; preferably the site that is closest to their home.
