Graffiti Removal Information
Please know that we take the cleanliness of the Junction seriously and are doing what we can to combat graffiti. At this time, the BIA invests approximately $20,000 annually into weekly street maintenance and small graffiti removal of public and occasionally private assets along Dundas St W. We regularly report instances of private property graffiti to 311 and have asked for increased police presence from 11 Division. We also continue to apply for grants to install new wall murals in the Junction to deter graffiti in these spaces.
That said, graffiti on private property is the responsibility of the property owner, as outlined in Municipal Code, Chapter 485. More details on graffiti in the City can be found HERE.
With that, we would like to take a moment to introduce you to Marcello, the owner of Lisgar Painting & Graffiti removal. Marcello, who grew up in the area, specializes in graffiti removal as well as interior and exterior painting, and would be happy to provide his services if required. Feel free to contact Marcelo at lisgarpainting@gmail.com.
