MPP Alexa Gilmour
Installation Concept
This piece uses candles, floral patterns, and pillars as symbols of migration and cultural storytelling. The candlesticks represent guidance and enlightenment passed through generations within the Parkdale-High Park community. The floral motifs reflect growth, renewal and cultural flourishing across diverse traditions, while the pillar formations symbolize the strong foundations of belonging built on familial traditions.
