Women's Health Collaborative

Installation Concept

This piece explores themes of migration, movement, and cultural preservation through a personal lens, highlighting the artist’s South Asian family history and the resilience of the women in it. Inspired by her grandmother’s journey during the 1947 Partition and her mother’s migration to Toronto, the piece celebrates intergenerational strength and storytelling. Reflecting the values of the Women’s Health Collaborative, the panels honour both the hardships and joy of immigrant life, blending historical gravity with vibrancy and hope.
