The Help Hub
Who I Am
Hello! I’m Jessica. I am a mother of three, a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist, and a fierce advocate for children and youth.
I have worked with individuals, families and communities, as well as at the system level, always with the goal of helping to make things better for kids.
How I Work
I believe strongly in the power of collaboration, healthy relationships and community. I support children, youth and families by working together with them to strengthen their relationships with themselves and with others, because I believe that connection is fundamental to our wellbeing. I believe that you deserve to be heard and supported, and that as the expert in “you”, your values and goals should define our work together. I work hard to create a safe space that is free of judgement, where we can explore and learn together.
Our Story
I started The Help Hub because I believe that everyone should have access to high-quality, evidence-informed, coordinated care that meets their unique needs.
As a therapist and a parent myself, I know that parenting can be tough – and when things feel out of balance, chaotic or overwhelming, it can feel unmanageable.
I also know how hard it is to watch your child struggle and not know who to turn to, or what to do. You may feel like they aren’t getting good care. When my own child needed support I realized just how hard it was to find help. And, when I found it, it was often fragmented, short-term, didn’t meet our needs, and didn’t seem to be clearly grounded in evidence-informed approaches. Even though I had the privilege of specialized knowledge, it was an uphill battle that often felt impossible.
It doesn’t have to be that hard. You deserve high-quality services that meet your needs, don’t require a full-time job to coordinate, and communicate with one another. This is my vision for The Help Hub.
I invite you to discover how we can work together towards achieving your goals. If you have questions or think my approach might be a fit for you, reach out and let’s talk.
