Canada Summer Jobs 2021!
Applications are now open until January 29th for Canada Summer Jobs 2021! This year, the federal government will fund over 120,000 jobs through the program from coast to coast. This represents a 50% increase compared to last year, meaning that more employers and young Canadians between the ages of 15 and 30 will benefit.
This round of Canada Summer jobs applications will include some flexibilities to best help your organization. These include:
- a wage subsidy, so that private and public sector employers can receive up to 75 percent of the provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage for each employee (not-for-profit organizations will continue to receive 100 percent);
- an extension to the end date for employment to February 26th, 2022; and
- allowing employers to hire staff on a part-time basis
