Call for Artists 2025

WINDOW WONDERLAND 2025
We’re back! The Junction’s award-winning Window Wonderland returns for its 6th year from November 28, 2025 to February 1, 2026. This free outdoor art walk transforms Dundas Street West into a magical gallery with 20 augmented reality (AR) window murals—each created by a muralist and animator.
We’re seeking 20 Toronto-based muralists who work with paint to bring storefront windows to life. Artists will be paired with an animator and a local business to create a collaborative multimedia installation.
The overarching theme is “Journeys Through Winter: Stories of Migration, Memory, and Belonging.” Exploring the season as a canvas for stories of resilience, cultural tradition, and the search for home. Muralists and animators are encouraged to explore this theme from their own unique cultural lens.
KEY DATES & DETAILS:
- Compensation: $850 CAD + HST (includes materials, design, painting; MAX mural size ~7×7 ft)
- Mandatory AR workshop: hosted by Artivive on Wednesday, July 18th, 2025
- Application Deadline: Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET
- Selected muralists will be contacted by June 20.
