BIA Annual General Meeting 2020

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The purpose of this meeting is to approve the BIA’s budget and general program for 2021. This program is paid for by a special levy charged to you and other commercial and industrial property owners, and non-residential tenants of such properties. As a BIA member, the best way to participate in the decisions your BIA is making on your behalf is to get involved. A copy of the complete proposed budget and audited financial statement will be available to you upon pre-registration.

  4.   Working Group Reports: 2020 Marketing/Events and 2020 Streetscaping

  8.   Appointment of Auditor for 2020

Voting and Registration:

As a precaution against COVID-19, the City has temporarily suspended the requirement that BIA members be physically present at a meeting location to conduct business. To prioritize the health and safety of members, directors, and employees in accordance with Provincial and Toronto Public Health guidelines, The Junction BIA will be conducting a VIRTUAL-ONLY meeting this year through the Zoom application.

General Meeting Procedures:

To attend, pre-registration is required. If you are a voting member, we may subsequently contact you for proof of BIA membership. Per The City of Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 19, Business Improvement Area, only members of the proposed BIA and their legal representatives (proof required) are eligible to vote at the General Meeting. No person in attendance shall have more than one vote.

IMPORTANT: When joining the meeting, participants will be prompted to provide consent to be unmuted by the host. Please click ALLOW, or you may not be able to speak throughout the meeting.
