Maker's Market
Installation Concept
This installation tells a story of Maker Market’s late owner, Kendra Sartorelli, who was a lover and champion of arts & culture in the Junction community and beyond. Kendra’s favourite animals are featured participating in her favourite activities: playing the saxophone, painting, and Shakespearean theatre. The mural’s top-most section was created last spring to honour Kendra’s memory. Now, muralist Yen Linh Thai has returned to expand the piece for Window Wonderland with animator Khaula Siddique to celebrate how arts & culture build community connection.
