Gabby's Restaurant

Installation Concept

This installation explores migration and cultural storytelling through symbols of community, adaptation, and resilience. The capybara, a highly social animal native to South America, represents belonging and shared cultural life. Blue Morpho butterflies, while not migratory, are known for their adaptability, reflecting how cultures can transform and thrive in new environments. Surrounded by hibiscus and Alocasia, plants that have journeyed and rooted themselves globally, the mural celebrates the way stories and traditions travel, adapt, and flourish across borders.
