Window Wonderland Returns to The Junction on November 29th

A FREE Outdoor Art Gallery Featuring Augmented Reality by Local and International Artists

Toronto, ON (Nov. 12, 2024) – Window Wonderland, Toronto’s award-winning outdoor art exhibition is returning to the Junction for its fifth consecutive year. From November 29, 2024 to January 31, 2025, this extraordinary urban art walk — proudly presented by Isaan Der Thai Kitchen — will transform the Junction into a vibrant and FREE outdoor art gallery. Visitors can immerse themselves in 20 captivating augmented reality (AR) window installations and ten wall murals, showcasing the creativity of both local and international artists.

Window Wonderland is presented in collaboration with the internationally renowned Artivive app, a leader in the world of augmented reality art exhibitions. “We’re excited to welcome back Window Wonderland for its fifth year, an event that continues to illuminate the Junction with art and creativity while bringing accessible and innovative art to our community,” said Carol Jolly, Executive Director of The Junction BIA. “Window Wonderland allows us to showcase the creativity of both local and international talent while transforming the Junction into a hub of inspiration for everyone to enjoy. This year, our featured artists hail from a diverse array of cultures, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, England, France, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Mauritius, the USA, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam – providing a truly global perspective on contemporary artistry,” added Jolly.

This year’s event will launch the newest AR murals, including Flora and Fauna, a piece created in partnership with the City of Toronto Outdoor Mural, Street Art Program and The Junction Business Improvement Area. Located at the south-facing of 384 Pacific Ave, this dynamic street art celebrates the Junction’s Butterfly Gardens and local pollinators, which aims to foster a deep appreciation for the local environment among residents and visitors alike.
